“Trail Rides”

SAMPLE OF LAST YEAR’S RIDES

Bring your horse and join the Fancy Fox Riders for a series of trail rides at Fancy Fox Farm.  We will guide you through “The Gauntlet,” our 5 miles of wooded trails with 35 jumps (bypasses for non-jumpers).  Average ride about 90 minutes.  Groups will separate into walk/trot or walk/trot/canter.  English or Western riders are welcome. 

• Fancy Fox goes Continental!  Join us at 10 a.m. for coffee, bagels and spreads then we hit the trails.  $30.

• Family Day!  Ride with us at 2 p.m., then jump on the hay wagon for a ride to the campfire for hotdogs, hamburgers and a marshmallow roast.  $35, children $15.  Supper and hayride only—$10.

• Oktoberfest!  1 p.m.  Correctly count the number of pumpkins on the trail and win a prize.  Kielbasa, sauerkraut, cider and apple strudel after the ride—$40.

• Jumpers Exclusive!  1 p.m.  Schooling day on over 5 full miles of log jumps.  You also get the use of our 300’ X 150’ jumping ring to practice for as long as you wish—$30.

• Chill Out and Warm Up!  12:30 p.m. ride followed by cider, cocoa and chili around the grand fireplace in the Fox Den—$40.

• Harvest Feast!  12 p.m. ride followed by Thanksgiving supper and dessert in the Manor House after the trail ride.  Limited to 30 guests.  Ride and Feast—$60.  Feast only—$30.  RSVP by Nov. 14.

Coggins, helmet and riding shoes/boots are required to ride, and protective vests are encouraged.
