“THE GAUNTLET”

Trail ride and school your horse at the Fancy Fox Farm X-Country Schooling Course aptly named “The Gauntlet”— 5 miles of wooded and open trails with natural jumps through the gorgeous rolling hills of Northern Virginia.  The Gauntlet is located near Culpeper, Virginia on Crestwood, a private 110-acre estate.  Groups welcome!  Bring your friends and have a blast!  Self-guided—$25 per horse/rider/day and ride as long as you like!  Guided ride, add $25 per group.  The “Fox Den,” our club room with fireplace & bar, is available for après ride social—call for rates.

The course consists of over 35 inviting, natural log jumps ranging in height from 12” to 2’-11”.  Jumps that can’t be walked over have bypasses.  Wide trails through woods with flat to rolling terrain.  Use of 40m bluestone dressage ring included.

Call ahead for reservations and conditions.  Course closed during wet/muddy conditions to maintain high quality of the trail system.

Approved riding helmet, riding shoes or boots, signed waiver, and negative Coggins required to ride, protective vest encouraged.
